Proposal

This proposal is being put to a second vote by the Foundation, as the first vote did not reach quorum.

Security Council Changes: Members proposed by Lead and subject to Token House Veto is a ratification proposal that changes how Security Council members are chosen:

  • The Token House continues to elect the Security Council Lead, who can be removed at any time.
  • Elections for the Council's cohorts are discontinued. Instead, the Lead recruits, interviews and nominates members against the published selection criteria.
  • Each nominee is confirmed through an optimistic approval and is seated unless 20% of votable OP supply vetoes them.
  • The Operating Manual update also shortens the review period for proposals to one week, in line with current practice, and makes minor cleanup improvements.

This is a ratification vote, you can read more about this proposal type in our operating manual. You can read the proposal in its entirety here.
